The problem

A minimarket in Salé regularly runs out of its top products — milk, bread, phone credit — because stock is checked by eye. Every empty shelf is lost revenue and clients who switch to the shop next door.

The solution, step by step

  1. Keep the product list in Google Sheets: product, supplier, current stock, alert threshold.
  2. Staff update quantities at closing time from a phone (2 minutes with the Sheets app).
  3. A Zapier zap checks the sheet every evening and finds rows below threshold.
  4. It sends the owner a WhatsApp Business message grouping the products to reorder, sorted by supplier.
  5. The owner forwards each supplier block directly to the supplier's WhatsApp.
  6. Result and estimated gains

    • Stock-outs on the top 30 products drop by more than half.
    • Reordering takes 10 minutes instead of an hour of aisle checking.
    • Estimated recovered sales of 3 to 5% of monthly revenue.
